Easy Tourist Visa for Iran
For those who are desparately looking for a tourist visa for Iran we can give the following advise: Try out www.key2persia.com
It's a travel agency in Shiraz which is able to get the paperwork started for you. It's easy to apply via Internet and you can pick up the visa at any Iranian embassy of your choice. They charge 35 USD per visa but it's worth the money as they do a great job (you pay the agency when you get to Iran - they trust you to pay the fee). We got our reference number from the agency after 7 days by email and could pick up the visas in Islamabad within two hours. The visa itself was 68 USD per person (for Germans). They issued a 20 days tourist visa which we were happy with. Unlike transit visas this one can be easily extended in Iran if you run out of time.
Hope this info helps.

I used the same agency and picked mine up in Delhi (next day), it was quite easy. Also easily extended (three weeks) on-the-spot in Yazd.

Is the use of agencies still compulsory? I have read here recently from folks who got theirs in Turkey, apparently without.

Hi All,
May be I should be write this in Middle East section, however it is also a visa question. Does anyone have an idea about transit visa for following ME countries:
Jordan, S.Arabia, Qatar, Oman, UAE, Bahrain? Is 7 days a standart for transit visa or does it depends on the country?
Thanks

Not only depend visa regulations entirely on each country, but are always different for different nationalities.
