I have no idea about selling the bike.
Last year, few weeks behind us, was an American lad called Patrick, with who I was in contact with, via email, and few other chaps.
He had a bad crash in Mongolia and had to fly back to the US. I think he sold his bike in Mongolia, but you will have to investigate that.
I don't understand why you worry about the licence plate or cancelling insurance? Something specific to Austria?
For us, (UK) if we got rid of a bike in Mongolia, set fire to it for example (thought of that one after breaking down one too many times!) going back to the UK we could just declare the bike scrapped and that's all and phone the insurance to cancel. easy....
IF you cannot sell it, you may see with Sambor if he can deliver your bike back home? He will pick up our bikes with his truck, from Kyrgyzstan, next summer.
