Health insurance for riding an Enfield Bullet in India

Hi, I am new to this site and am still feeling my way around, so apologies if this question has already been asked.

My girlfriend and I are in India as part of an extended around the world adventure (overland, but not for the most part on a motorbike). We have recently purchased a Royal Enfield Bullet and are now travelling up through India. I have a full UK motorbike licence and we are wearing helmets.

However, I have just found out that our travel insurance only covers us for vehicles up to 125cc. Given that the Bullet is 350cc, this is clearly not good.

Can anyone advise us of a good insurance company that will cover this (relatively small) part of our trip.

What does everyone else do? Do they bother or not?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Health insurance

You can buy 'third party liability' for Rs 753 for one year from National Insurance Company Ltd, branches all over, which is basically a piece of paper you wave to try and stay out of jail. I think 'health insurance' for riding a bike, especially an Enfield, in India would be very expensive if your travel insurance has specifically restricted you. The bike rental guys in Jodhpur told me that foriegners have a 50% accident rate, but there are few fatilities, so draw your own conclusions!
The worst scenario would be to kill or maim someone, damage to 'things' might be expensive, but you pay and move on. I hit a goat at speed, wobbled, and drove on. If possible, don't hang around to discuss local livestock prices, it will be very expensive. If you are hurt, or cannot travel, then you may get some help from having bought 'liability', and claims have to be presented to the insurance company rather than you personally, though I heard you can sometimes make a deal using the police as middlemen (they take a cut) and are free to leave.
Safe travels

Don't know if you read this thread

It might be possible to cancel your insurance and start another policy with another company.
