Help - medical insurance needed!!
dear all
I am trying to get some travel insurance that will give me medical and repatriation cover for a trip from the UK to Mongolia. I have tried pretty much everyone I could find and can't get any, usually because: 'the bike is too large'(since when was a 750 'too large'!)
; I'm too young (24); the trip is too long

Does anyone know of a company that offers good cover for people who are 24 and on a 750. I have everything else for the trip planned and don't want to reduce the length, wait until I'm older or go on a different bike!
thanks
Henry

Left side of web page - under 'Trip Planning' - 'medical insurance' or 'insurance medical'.
Try World Nomads

World Nomads, £119 GBP sterling for:
$AUD5000000 Medical
$AUD500000 Repatriation
$AUD2500 belongings
my normal bike insurance (Carol Nash) is only 3rd party, but gives me 3rd party cover worldwide!
This is a lot cheaper than policies for other acitivites eg rock climbing that I have bought in the past, so am pretty pleased. I normally do quite well out of insiurance as I am a bit accident prone, to date I am up about £40,000 having spent about £300 on insurance, what a bargain!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
