How does the Kazakhstan double entry visa work?

Hi,

Kazakhstan visas2 seem to be the topic of the day. Seems like we got plenty of experts here. So, here is my question:

I am wondering how the double entry, 2 months visa works. Do I have to specify a date when I apply, let's say 1/7 and the visa is then issued for 1/7 - 31/8ish and I can make two entries in that time period? Is it valid for two months from when they issue it or some other whacky scheme?

Is two months, 2 entries easy to get for a EU citizen or am I better off getting a second one along the way?

Cheers,
boarder

We got a 3 month double entry visa in London. Quite easy - just required us to have some hotel bookings.

We just came and left as needed - nothing wacky.

Did the 3 months start the day the visa was issued or on a date you specified on the application?

+1 what Craig says. Easy. It starts when you enter the country. Be careful about the reiteration thing though - whilst many people never have a problem but we did and got arrested as a result. It probably comes down to luck on the day, which border crossing you use, esp as its not actually necessary anymore, but try and avoid it if poss as its a right old fag. We got off lightly.( reiteration means getting your visa stamped at every hotel you stay in. Reception should do it.)

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
