Indian registered bullet overland to uk. No carnet?
Am currently in india and heading to nepal for 2 months and then re-enter india. I have an indian registered enfield. Not currently registered to me, but I hear it is possible.
I wish to ride back either through the stans or through china. The biggest hurdle seems to be the damn carnet!
I really really want to ride this particular bike back and have little patience for uptight beurocracy. There were some old threads on here about fake carnet's this would be a great help . Also wonder if nepalese paperwork might help matters. For one border crossing it all seems like such a ball ache!
I hear off another overlander that it is possible to get accross china and that a guide can be arranged from within china at a much lower cost. -So leave bike in nepal, get guide and then return for bike.
Getting bike on train accross pakistan, which I hear some have done. Any advice or other ideas would be most most helpful. I know this has been covered before, but I'm browsing net on a nokia and its painful reading through these threads espescially when the information is a little old.
All help gratefully recieved!
