Iran visa for UK citizen...again
Hi,
I've trawled these pages on the Iran visa for a UK citizen subject and can't find anyone who has actually done it recently.
I've researched as much as I can so while I'm awaiting a reply from the Iranian Embassy...has anyone got any recent reliable info?
It seems I need a guide and I've found some contacts but how much do they charge and most importantly can I enter through one border and leave by another on a tourist visa?
Grateful for any hard info.
Chris

Canadian, UK and US visitors indeed need a guide. Cost from what I read here is $100 to $150.00usd per day + transport + accommodation (food and lodging). Makes you think twice about visiting Iran. Sadly. Not to mention that you need a Carnet, and the bond is three times the value of the bike if I am not mistaken.

Thanks Lee, good info if bad news, know anything about multiple borders?
I wonder if things will ease in the next year or so.

To obtain visa, you will need to receive a authorization code. This code needs to be issued by Ministry Of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Tehran.
You have two options to gain this code:
Option one would be if you have friends or family in Iran they can visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran and give invitation letter for you and apply for the code for you,
OR
Option two would be apply through Travelling Agencies in UK or Iran and they can apply for the code for you, and the code can be sent to us by MFA.
Either option once the authorization code is been issued for you and sent to us by MFA, then you can visit us to have your visa issued.

No change. UK nationals still need to join a guided tour.
