Motorbike from belgium to Lima Peru
Hi, motortravellers.
Half october 2012 I am going to Latin America with my motorcylce to travel around in Peru-Boliva-Argentina-Chile-Paraguay-Uruguay, en then back to Belgium (spring 2013).
Can anyone tell me how the paperwork is at the customs (aduana) at the Jorge Chavez (cargo) airport in Lima Peru ? . Is it difficult and expensive (destination charges) to clear the motorcycle ?
What do I need to now? I don't have a Carnet de Passage as I don't need one in South America.
I am still negociating whith some companies ( price...) to fly my bike into Lima. James Cargo made me an offer of 1.795 pound (2157 euro), from Heathrow to Lima by air. Price includes packing, freight, fuel charges, handling en export clearance...
Or is there a cheaper solution?
Thanks for your information.
