Is there anyone who knows what we have to do to get a second carnet from the ADAC??
We stay now in Perth/Australia and our Carnet's run's out in beginning Oktober.

Ask for an "Anschlusscarnet" with the ADAC. You do not have to pay a second deposit, just the regular fees (about 150 Euro as far as I remember).

Lightbulb Contact address ADAC

The ladies responsible for carnet issues at the ADAC are Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Damiani. Email is (hopingly still up-to-date)

carnetdepassages@adac.de

Phone no. is +49 89 7676 6338 (Ms. Damiani)

Hope this helps. If not, send me an email and I'll give them a call.
Hans

Nah, not sure about that. I always believed you can only extend it once, but as I said - I don't really know.

Give them an email.

Good luck!

Normally no. As long as the bike is covered by a valid carnet, the customs aren't interested. What's mor important is that your visa or residence permit is still valid ;-)

Have you had any response from the ADAC re your carnet extension yet?

Hans

Talking If you cannot extend

On the more carnets thing .. you may not need a carnet in the next country .. so end the present carnet there .. old one is now finished.

and then start a new one ... I don't see any limit on the number of carnets you can have in a life time ...

If you want to stay in Oz beyond the date of validity of your current carnet then you may have to get an extension. This is more complicated than an "Anschluss-Carnet".

If, however, you intend to leave before the carnet expires then you may or may not need another one. For example, for NZ you don't need one.

It all depends on your plans.
