Hi: here are some thoughts:
Passport with available pages and time for each country
- Make sure you'll have 6 months passport validity left at the end of the trip.
Yellow Fever vax record
- and the rest - check CDC recommendations - there are lots more vaccinations which you should have.
Inter-American Driving Permit (IADP) for Uruguay and Brazil
- I've never heard of this and have driven in both countries without one.
For the bike:
USA proof of insurance
- other countries will not care whether you have insurance in the USA.
Unless I plan to sell the bike, there is no need to pack the title, correct? I know, dumb question, but I want to be sure.
- Better to take it in case someone insists that you prove the bike's yours.
I have read that the Carnet is no longer needed for CA or SA, so that's one less thing...
- Not needed, but it does provide better protection than TIPs.
