Exclamation passing through EAU, iran, turkey without carnet

Hi guys! I'm happy that i've found a good place for asking this question... Hoping that someone have the answer or a direct experience.

I'm gonna buy a royal enfield bullet 350, year '75 about, from india and going back to Italy by land, but the problem is actually that you can't officially be the owner of the bike, and so also making the carnet must be not easy (impossible...).

I want to know if it's easy to pass simply paying money or could be difficult to do. I know that somebody do it from india to europe passing via pakistan, iran, turkey paying 150 euro per border.

Personally i want to avoid pakistan, passing from emirates, sharja to bandar abbas. You know if it is possible to enter EAU from Bombay, by ship with bike without carnet? And Iran?

Which other document do i need? I think i will have all the bike documents, and international driving license, and visa of course...

You have any solution or suggestion for this problem?

Thank you in advance.

Bye

Read about this problem some place seems to bite people now and then. I think India made it almost imposable to do what you want to legaly.
So a India made Enfield from India may not be worth the problems.

BUT a India made Enfield from Napal has less problems. So im told.

I know. But in Nepal it also cost you 1 lakh NRP (1000euro) just for the main documents, plus about 35000 NRP (at least) for the bike. It start to be a lot of money for me...

Anyway thanks for the link i will check

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
