Passport Copy "Legalisation" - Shipping from Argentina -
Hi Guys
Im in Argentina on my wee C90 and I am talking to a company about shipping my bike and I have been told there is a new requirement to have your passport copies "legalised" for the Customs process.
this involves 3 steps... which seems crazy!!.. but they assure me its required.
Anyone heard of this??

Sean.
For the legalization of the passport you must do the following:
1.- Go to Instituto Olivares
Address: Uruguay 580, CABA
Request for the legalization and pay for it directly there, you must fotocopy all the pages, te cost is 360 pesos.
2.-
Go with the copies legalized to: Colegio de Escribanos
Address: Avenue Las Heras 1833, CABA
Request the legalization by them of the copies, this costs 95 pesos.
3.-
Go to: Cancilleria
Address: Arenales 819, CABA
Request the legalization by Cancilleria of the copies, this costs 40 pesos.

Hi Daniel,
Surely I do not have to do all 3 steps... just one?
Am I correct?

Mr Dillon.
You have to do all the three steps, these is now mandatory for the argentinean customs. We are just as sorprised as you about this new procedure for legalization of the passport.
