I've just obtained a couple of 12 month multi entry business visas and a 6 month multi entry one.
Did it myself without resorting to an agency. Got the LOI from these people Visa-Link and got the Visas themselves in London. See This Link.
Tells you everything you need...

. Introductory letter from your company/organization (or from yourself if you are self-employed) giving full details of the traveller, destinations, dates and purpose of the visit as well as stating the name of inviting organization, contact details of the responsible person in Russia and explaining who will take financial responsibility of the trip.

i've tryed to apply for a three months double entry biz visa in kuala lumpur one month ago, i'm italian by the way. i hold a invitation letter copy from the russian agency, but the russian has ask me, above all you've mentioned, the original letter and the russian foreign ministry authorization to apply for it. i gave up, came here in jakarta, and apply for a 30 days double entry tourist visa. got it in two days with express procedure. normal procedure 7/10 days 55$ express 2 days 105$.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
