Travelling overland India-Europe
Namaste
My name's David and i am driving right now with my Girlfriend on two Russian Minsk-motorcycles from Vietnam down to Singapore. We are allready in Malysia. This means our Trip is almost over. But i want to travel on. My dream is to travel on a Enfield from India to to Europe where i live. Is it still possible for Foreigners to buy Enfields in India (legaly would be nice, but at least with convincing papers) an get all the permits to cross the borders into Pakistan, Iran and Turkey....
What do you know about the current situation about driving in Iran and Pakistan.
Thanks in advance for your tips and advices
David

Hey David
It is a trip i normally will start with in 2 months and also for me the only issue is the pruchase of an enfield in India as a non foreigner. Did you find any other information about the paperwork you will need for crossing borders?
Please let me know

there is some info elsewhere on the site on this, something about it being illegal to buy a bike in india as a foreigner, although it can be done in nepal. you'll have to hunt around a bit to find it.
cheers

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
