US entry & exit questions
HI,
Heard today that as soon as you enter the US you get a 90 day visa to vist the country and this includes Alaska.
So the question is does the 90 days visa continue ticking as you go through Canada? say I use 60 dasy to get across the USA then enter Canada, spend 3 months there and then enter Alaska do I then just have 30 days left of my 90 days visa to see Alaska before I ahve to leave or re-enter Canada - and can I re-enter Canada after being there so son?
Cheers
Nik

As far as I'm aware you'll be stamped out of the USA, and given another 90 days when you re-enter in AK. THis is assuming you hold a British or EU passport.

I would double check this, because I believe if for travel to Canada and Mex the time does not get reset. Check the U.S. Dept of State website. Also, they do not always give 90 days, that is the max, although it can be extended with a application, but last I heard the wait for the processing itself was more than 90 days.

I flew into USA and got a visa waiver thing, then went to canada and gave in my card from usa and got a new visa from canada . Then went to Alaska and filled in another visa waiver thing and gave it back going to canada, then got a new visa going back to the usa.
Each time I got the maximum visa timelimit especially if you say you are touring on a motorcycle.
this was a few months ago
edit: I reentered canada from alaska 2 days later, by giving in the visa card at the border so I don't know if the visa ticks down, but you can hand it in and get a new one if you are vauge about your plans
