<u>Jemen - Yemen</u>
Kosten: 30 Euro
gekauft in: Addis Abeba / Aethiopien
Wartezeit: 2 Stunden
Bilder: 1 Bild
Gueltigkeit: Einreise 30 Tage nach Ausstellung, dann 3 Monate Aufenthalt moeglich
Empfehlungsschreiben der deutschen Botschaft wird verlangt. Das kostet 20 Euro pro Schreiben, das fuer uns beide ausgefuellt wurde.
Man benoetigt KEINE Einladung etc.!!!!
Carnet de Passages: Ja

Specials: Enter within 30 days of issue, then 3 months possible.
We need a letter from the german embassy, that costs 20 Euro
You don’t need an invitation!!

<u>Oman</u>
Kosten: 21 US $
gekauft in: Sanaa / Jemen
Wartezeit: 1 Stunde
Bilder: Kein Bild
Gueltigkeit: 30 Tage
Empfehlungsschreiben der deutschen Botschaft wird NICHT verlangt.
Carnet de Passages: Ja
Und Versicherung fuer die Motorraeder, aber wir haben unsere eigene, die gilt hier auch!!

<u>Vereinigte Arabische Emirate - VAE - United Arab Emirates - UAE</u>
Kosten: Nichts bei der Einreise vom Oman
Angeblich 20 Dh = 5 Euro bei der Ausreise
Gueltigkeit: 60 Tage
Carnet de Passages: Ja und Nein!!!???
Bei der Einreise wurde kein Carnet de Passages verlangt und abgestempelt.
Bei der Ausreise am Hafen zur Faehre in den Iran wurde allerdings die Einreise und die Ausreise im Carnet de Passages abgestempelt!!!???

Yes and No!!!???
When we entered the country from Oman, they didn’t want to see the Carnet de Passages.
When we’ve been at the customs at Sharjah port to leave the country towards Iran, they stamped the Carnet in and out!!!????

Und Versicherung fuer die Motorraeder, aber wir haben unsere eigene, die gilt hier auch!!

SUEDASIEN – SOUTHERN ASIA

<u>Iran</u>
(N 25° 13.646’ E 055° 15.963’)
Kosten: 35 Euro (15 Euro + 2 Euro + 18 Euro)
gekauft in: Dubai / VAE
Wartezeit: 17 Tage
Antrag auf ein Transit - Visum kostet 65 Dh (15 Euro) und dauert ca. 14 Tage, der Antrag muss mit Maschine geschrieben sein, das kostet 10 Dh (2,2 Euro), dann wird in Teheran entschieden, ob es ein Visum gibt.
Wir bekamen dann nach 2 Wochen ein 7 Tage Transitvisa fuer 18 Euro, gueltig 3 Monate ab Tag der Ausstellung.
Es ist wichtig ein Transit-Visum zu beantragen, da man als Individualreisender kein Touristen-Visum bekommt. Im Land konnte man es bisher meistens problemlos verlaengern.

Empfehlungsschreiben der deutschen Botschaft wird NICHT verlangt.
Carnet de Passages: Ja

Specials: Application for visa cost 65 Dh (15 Euro) and takes 14 days, the appilication must be written with computer, that costs 10 Dh (2,2 Euro), then they decide in Tehran if you get a visa.
You must ask for a transitvisa, otherwise you won’t get one, if you travel on your own.
After 2 weeks we got a 7 days transitvisa fir 18 Euro, valid 3 months after issue.

<u>Pakistan</u>
(N 25° 15.211’ E 055° 18.458’)
Kosten: 45 Euro
gekauft in: Dubai / VAE
Wartezeit: 2 Tage
Antrag auf ein Visum kostet nichts und dauert 24 Stunden, allerdings wird ein Empfehlungsschreiben der Deutschen Botschaft benoetigt (20 Euro).
Das Visum gab es dann in 5 Stunden
Bilder: 2 Bilder
Gueltigkeit: 3 Monate
Empfehlungsschreiben der deutschen Botschaft wird verlangt.
Carnet de Passages: Ja
Kopie vom Reisepass wird verlangt

Specials: Application for visa is free and takes 24 hours
We needed a letter from the German embassy (20 Euro)
Then we got the visa in 5 hours.
You need a copy of your passport

<u>Indien - India</u>
(N 25° 15.295’ E 055° 18.511’)
Kosten: 47 Euro (35 Euro + 12 Euro)
gekauft in: Dubai / VAE
Wartezeit: 4 Tage
Antrag auf ein Visum kostet 50 Dh (12 Euro) und dauert 3 Werktage.
Das Visum kostet 150 Dh (35 Euro) wir bekamen es dann in 24 Stunden.
Bilder: 3 Bilder
Gueltigkeit: 6 Monate
Empfehlungsschreiben der deutschen Botschaft wird NICHT verlangt.
Carnet de Passages: Ja
Kopie vom Reisepass wird verlangt

Specials: Application for visa costs 50 DH (12 Euro) and takes 3 days
Then we got the visa in 24 hours.
You need a copy of your passport.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
