Any knowledge of company named Motorcycle Services?
Hi,
Has anyone used company named Motorcycle Services?
They provide service to transfer bike from Europe to Canada.
Also, seems like they can provide all needed insurances even for people outside NA.
Br,
Marko

They are very good and trustworthy however, their insurance is very, very, expensive and they tend to use the same agents as Progressive do. Gail in the US office is great but if you are going to Canada I would check the weekly Ro-Ro, 2Wglobal.com I think is the website, from Europe to Halifax as I have found them very good indeed on 4 occasions. They are about 750 euros + CD$120 at Halifax with the crossing taking 6 days. Get your insurance on Progressive on line before you go as you will not get insurance in Canada for a foriegn reg bike. Ride safe.

Mike, thanks for the answer.
One plan is to go first to Canada, from there to Alaska and then down to SA.
Another plan is to go first to east... Still planning

Before you get to Halifax drop me a line, I'm on the Bay of Fundy, Annapolis Valley and you can visit, have a bed, a meal, some and see the highest tides in the world. World travellers always welcome!!!! Depending on when you arrive I'll go with you for awhile, I'm leaving August 2012 for South America
Cheers Growler

Growler, you forgot the best bit, the biggest and best scallops ever at Digby, I´m drooling as I write this and before anyone else says it, that´s drooling as in anticipation, not dribbling as in drunk again. Ride safe

Within next few weeks I should get clarification if I can start my 3-5 year RTW trip on the coming spring.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
