Post Baja Ferries shipping

I just recieved this email thismorning. Thought it might be helpful for anyone crossing Cortez like myself.
(They only have two chips though, so if you're hungry, get there early!)
-------------------------------------------------------------
We have two chips and two routes:

California Star

La Paz to Topolobampo leaves everyday at 3:00 p.m. and you have to be there 3 hours before the departure.
it is new, big, beautiful, smooth and comfortable besides you will be able to see one of the most beautiful sunset in the world crossing the Sea of Cortez. It has a restaurant and a bar.

Topolobampo to La Paz leaves everyday also at 11:00 p.m. and you have to be
at the port 3 hours before the departure.

Rates:
$ 680.00 per person (61.90USD)
580.00 motorcycle (each one of them) (52.80)
760.00 cabin (4 beds and a bathroom) extrapayment (private cabin) (69.18)

One meal is included in the ticket.

Sinaloa Star
La Paz - Mazatlan - La Paz

La Paz to Mazatlán leaves Tuesday - Thursday - Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and you have to be at the port at 12:00 p.m. Dinner and breakfast are included in the ticket at the restaurant.

Mazatlan to La Paz leaves Monday - Wednesday - Friday at 3:00 p.m. and you
have to be at the port at 12:00 p.m. Dinner and breakfast are included in
the ticket at the restaurant also.

Rates
$ 770.00 per person ($70)
1,300.00 motorcycle (each one of them) (118.34)
400.00 cabin (two beds and a bathroom) extrapayment (private cabin) (36.41)
250.00 cabin tourist (4 beds without a bathroom) extrapayment (private cabin) (22.75)

We do not make reservations but you can buy your tickets in advance making a deposit as soon as you get to Mexico to this Bank Account:

So does that mean that the ferry route from Guaymas to Santa Rosalita and vice versa is dead?
I took it quite a few years ago with my NX 650, and minus a 5 degree list, and having to sit in the hold surrounded by belching diesels waiting to unload, was quite a pleasant experience.

The Mazatlan ferry isn't running currently. Although that was a month ago- they thought it might be running by the end of March, so maybe it is. I don't think I'd bet money on it.

You can buy tickets on the same day or a couple days in advance. I'd be shocked if it were full. Ours was about 10% full of cars.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
