Thanks for the heads up on that.
Looking at the site I see they are selling the business and only have one planned transport and that's August..a little too late and hot!
thanks anyway

I know you would say you don't have time if I asked "what's the problem with riding it there?". (A couple of days each way, maximum).
What you remind me of is that some people have advertised within other threads - I think that has been in the forum for bike rent/swop - for someone to ride their bikes, for all sorts of reasons such as lack of time, a one way trip and similar.
Issues that crop up, over and over, are the ownership of the vehicle (any vehicle) and the associated permission to be using it, and the insurance cover. Neither are insurmountable IMO, but they do need to be considered and dealt with.
I have even wondered about offering such a service -but I am not around at the date you mention here!!
Good luck,

Bike to Malaga
Paul, try trucking it there via a pallet system or a groupage carrier. Norbert Dentressangle has depots throughout Europe. If you can put it on a proper bike cradle with forklift pockets then all the better, they will send it "groupage" which means it may be transhipped several times before it gets to Spain. Cheapest way is to book it economy service, two pallet spaces, non-stackable, fully strapped down, drop off at your nearest uk depot and tell them you will collect from their depot in Spain. They keep the cradle for your return and you fly cheap airline to Spain. I know for certain Norberts have a depot 4 miles from Alicante airport as I was thinking of getting to Morocco next Spring using this method. You can fly there in 3 hours, pick your bike up and be on the ferry in 10hrs instead of a (for me at least), 4 day trip.
One thing, insurance. If they use RHA rates your only covered by the carrier for £1.50 per kg or £1.70 if they us BIFA rates. It wouldnt be the first time somethings fallen from a forklift!
Best of luck.
