Buenos Aires to USA - Looking For Crate Sharing - Leaving Late March

I am wrapping up the last leg of a USA to Ushuaia trip. I will be in Buenos Aires in the last week of March. This time is flexible.

Is there anyone out there needing to get their bike back to the US as well during this time and from Buenos Aires? Want to share a crate?

I have a KLR 650.

I have no idea who I might be shipping through. Have not figured out those details yet. Just checking for bites on shared crating for cost saving.

Thanks!

Ditto

Hey. I am also looking to get my KLR 650 back to the USA around the same time from Buenos Aires. Where in to US are you planning to ship? I was looking at Houston or Miami. Perhaps we are on the same trail. I am heading north up Route 40 in Argentina, currently in El Calafate.

Some place on the east coast is best. So Miami would work for me. I am in Philly. I dont really have an idea about who I am shipping with. Any ideas?

I would love to share a crate and save some money for the both of us. I have a plane ticket for the US on March 29th. So getting together a week or so before that might sound good. What do you think?

Miami and the dates sound good. It is not for sure, but there is a Canadian family riding three DRs heading home around the same time. I took the boat from Panama with them and randomly bumped into them the other day in El Calafate. Pending some decisions they have to make in the next few days they also want to share a container, bringing the total to 5 bikes. I'll keep you posted.

Regarding the shipping company, I have no ideas. When I get better internet I'll do some research, I'm sure there is some good info on the forums and what not.

Suerte.

Just wondering if you guys still were thinking about sharing a crate. If so how many bikes again? Just want to verify. I would like to start calling shippers and getting quotes.

Thanks

Hi Michael,

I just wanted to let you know that I am interested in sharing
container space. I have a KLR650. Can remove all luggage, windscreen,
and wheels to minimize space. I am trying to get a reply from Dakar
Motors in BA. They seem to be a big deal there.

I'll let you know what I hear, and I hope you let me know as well.

I will be in Buenos Aires, March 22nd and leaving on a place on the 29th.

Hope we can work things out to save some money.

Thanks!
