Daft as a brush question. Do you have cabin space on board your ship's. I.E. me and my lady friend bring bike and you take me, her and the bike to U.S. We ride round US until money run's out. They your company bring's us back. The idea is all of your egg's are in one basket? And we arrive with the bike at the same time. Where to leave UK no matter where to arrive U.S. No matter. Just as long as where we arrive is the same place as where we leave,
At the moment I'm not looking for a price. More of do you do this kind of thing?

Hello,
Thanks for the below. Sorry, the vessels which use are only for ro ro cargo or container shipments only , they are not equipped for owners to travel with the cargo.

Many carriers do carry passengers ,, not really as main theme,, but to carry on a tradition and few bobs. But you must negotiate/contact the ship owners direct..meaning their head office or their agent in the port or regional office. You can do this, once you find out, which shipping lines your forwarder is using.
Jamie is that....a freight forwarder,, like Thomas Cooke. Many have traveled this way,, if you can stand pirates and long transit time. Hope it helps.
PS.. passengers are normally given an officers quarters,, in fact many ships have so call state rooms for VIP staff and passengers ,, food also will be above average ,, crew mostly third world ,, junior officers 2nd grade OECD nationals ,, captains usually Nordic,, above all ,, the cost would be very low to ride on the ship.

Hi Jamie, Rick here. I'm in the UK. I would like to ship a bike to the US. I shipped it over here in April. Curious how much does it cost and what port do I go to? I have been using Seabridge, good price and very reliable....but, the prices keep inching up and is a bit frustrating. I tried e-mailing u but I am on a friends 'puter and it won't let me go to ur e-mail addy.....? Another question that was mentioned in one of the above posts, how can I go w/the bike? Or, get in contact w/folks who know how to arrange a cross atlantic trip on a freighter, even with out the bike? Thanks, Rick

2000 BMW R1100s, aprox. 6' long, 4' high, 30" wide & weighs about 450lbs. I would like to ship it to Baltimore, but anywhere on the East Coast would be fine. Can I go with the bike too? The last time I shipped from B-more to Liverpool the price was $760.00 (USD). Thats all dock fees, ect.. Yes, I can get the bike to Southampton docks, no problem. The price from here has inched up to $1,000 plus (USD)! Thanks for taking the time sir.
