Ex Australia - Door-to-Port Shipping

I have been speaking to these guys:

About World Wide Customs & Forwarding Agents Pty. Ltd.

and have been VERY impressed with the service on the sales and logistics side. One phone call deterimed that they could pick up my created bike from anywhere in Sydney and have it
  • in Moscow for $1,125 (sea freight - 50 days give or take 2 days max)
  • in Tokyo for $462 (sea freight - 21 days give or take 2 days max)
They require you have your own customs agent on the other end. Their website also allows you to get quotes and check routes online.

gx, I checked out your link and frankly I don't think these guys are good value at all for sea freight. I'm using Ace Pro Trans (Melbourne) - a hell of a lot cheaper, and you get a person to talk to, not just a web site..

We were going to use Ace Pro trans as well, but decided to go with General cargo Forwarders (also Melbourne) recommended by the lady from the NRMA in NSW who deals with the carnets.

Price is almost the same, but got a better response from GCF. Not too bad so far, a lot an emails back and forth, but shipping and container booked (provisionally) to go to South Korea...

My bike is currently en route from Sydney to London using Tradelanes. They charged AUD 485 (under £250) excluding the UK release fees, which would be £250-odd with full service. Transit time is 39 days plus bike must have been deposited at their depot 6 days before departure. Departures are every Thurs. See Shipping back to the UK for full details.

Dropped my crate off today at ACFS - it goes on the OOCL Freedom, sailing sometime around the 15th and arriving in Busan on the 8th of May.

Ace Pro Trans total charges are $273, not sure what the wharf fees will be at the Korean end.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
