Hi,
Am on my RTW thing (visit
www.horizonsunlimited.com/chrisbright for the blurb), presently in South America. I have completed London-Cairo-Cape Town and New York-Alaska-Panama.
So.... to complete the loop, I wish to ride London-Asia or Asia-London. I don't want to go to Australia....
Any tips/advice/info on costs/useful addresses/agents to avoid for shipping my bike (in about March 2001)
either:
1.) Buenos Aires/Santiago de Chile to Northern Europe... Air or Seafreight...
or
2.) Santiago de Chile to Singapore/Malaysia (and then Bangkok-Kathmandu) or India (less likely as having dealt with Egyptian customs, I do NOT want to have to spend any amount of time in the proximity of their Indian colleagues!!) Air or sea????
Option 1 is the most likely I believe, but Option 2 is the sentimental choice... you know.. driving off the Calais-Dover ferry and being interviewed by UK customs, not having washed the bike since Tehran...)
Any info will be very gratefully received.
Ride safely,
Kind regards
Chris Bright
