Hi Guy's !

We try to plan our next part's of the trip.... Does anyone try to go from India to Canada?
Hopefully with the bike in the same flight???

We read now we can get a Work and Holliday visa for Canada untill the 36 birthday ;-))) (only if it is not possible to get a sponsorshipvisa for Australia)

Check out the shipping histories but don't think it's a common routing. I'm sure you know, but no direct flights, can go either east to Vancouver or west to Toronto/Montreal (it's roughly around 24 hours either way). The airlines are the usual suspects flying through their own hub, BA, Lufthansa, Alitalia, Air Canada flying east and mostly Asian carriers flying west.

Try Motorcycle Express, probably cost prohibitive even if the ship from there. It is about $1700 from western Europe.

If your budget allows it, I would consider shipping the bike back to Europe by sea and just flying to North America and buying another bike, very good set up bikes and prices.

Hi!

I din't find anything about this directions. So we have to go back from India to Australia (Darwin?? Perth??) and find a flight to Western Canada from here,is ist right??

Hey Werner,

Certainly as you travel east you will encounter more options for shipping to the west coast of North America. In general, the most options are main cities on the east coast of Asia, South East Asia and Australia. In Asia, the most northerly city is Seoul, Korea. Motoedde on this site just shipped his bike from there to Seattle. Not sure what your route is, but you just have to figure out how to get there with non rideable countries like China in the way.

At the other end of the spectrum, there is detail on shipping out of Australia. Perth is way too far west, Darwin is way too far north and too small. I would guess Brisbane/Syndey/Melbourne are you options. This is for shipping by air. Shpping by sea has many more options. And keep in mind that you are now shipping from the southern hemispere to the north, a lot further.

Is there actually a way from Vladivostock or Magadan to Canada or Alaska?
I find in the Shipping history one thread from Magadan to Anchorage.... is it still working or is it not possible at the time???

It should be possible to take a flight from Deli to Kasachstan....so we can reach the fare eastern Russian city's

I'd think one of the asian carriers would do
say Thai from India to Bankock then on to Canada
or umm Cathay Pacfic (sp?) India to Honkong then Canada..


Possibly Japan Air .. to Japan then Canada.. ? If they fly into India.. or maybe a partner air line..

By sea .. well from Austrail it would go north to singapore (or possibly Kularlumpa (sp? again)) then change ship to go to USA and on to Canada.. same if you go to the west ..

Vladivostock only goes to Japan .. I belive.

I would look at Air Canada and see if they offer service.
ALSO keep in mind that there are a LOT of air cargo flights originating in India that go directly to Canada as there is a big Indian community in Canada and a lot of Indian goods exported there.

Go to the Airport and find out...ask freight forwarders in India...and considering their rules, you might be able to fly on the cargo flight with your bike.

DodgyDago on the HUBB did that between Bishkek and India in June...I couldn't believe it but I was in Sakuras guesthouse helping him pack his crap...lucky bastard.

That are good new's! I think we'll try it from India to Canada...

But it look's good for a Aussie Sponsorship Visa...so we explore the next two Years (between the work) Australia and Newzeeland.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
