Indian Subcontinent to Bangkok - where to ship from?

Does anyone have a preferred city to ship from the Indian Subcontinent to Bangkok?

I am trying to figure out whether to ship from Kathmandu, Dacca, Calcutta or perhaps Madras (Chennai).

Any suggestions? Most of the shipments on the shipping page are from Kathmandu and there is only one from Calcutta and Dacca.

Will be shipping to Bangkok in January in another month.

Not from India and not by sea. That leaves Dhaka or Kathmandu by air.

What would be the problem shipping by air from Calcutta? Air shipment is the only option I am considering...

Red tape and cost. Indian bureaucracy is often reminiscent of absurd theatre.

Ok, thanks folks. Looks like Kathmandu may be the simplest option at this point. India is difficult enough without the extra hassles...

Dhaka, Bangladesh is a totally hassle-free and cheap option.
It is mentioned in the shipping-page.
That way you also get to see Bangladesh... which is "different" (in a good sort of way)

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
