motorcycle transportation by train from Munich to Lyon in fr
Hi:
I want to know if it is possible to transport ny motorcycles from Munich to Lyon, in the same train with me, do they need to be crated and the oil and fuel emptied? How much is the cost?
Thank's for the advise and help.
Best Regards.

I would love to do it, the real thing is that I want to do it by the end of the year, by the 26 of December 2003, actually I want to catch the dakar rally that starts in CLERMONT-FERRAND near Lyon (hopefully free of snow ), last year it was full of snow in Munich and I had to forget it, the Motorcycles are resting in Munich that´s why I want to find a way out, and then find a Shipping company to get across the atlantic into Veracruz Mexico.
Thank you anyway, I want to ride it, by the way do you know a way to be safe riding when frozen.

Hi Al and welcome to the HUBB!
There are direct auto-train connections from Munich to Narbonne. Here's the link. The site is in English.
If you do end up riding it in December, I highly recommend an electric vest, and other items of electric clothing, such as gloves!
Good luck with your trip, and please let us know how you go.

Susan:
Thank you and I want to express my recognition for such a nice and good work you are doing, all this helps in creating the feeling of brotherhood that all motorcyclists share, all this made me feel that I am not a loner, I found that there are a lot of adventurous two wheel souls that make connection through your HUBB.
sincerely AL.
By the way we as Mexicans have a lot of respect for women for their role as foundation for the family, you made me feel under your protecting hand, I will keep you pósted on my endeavour.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
