Unfortunately the most recent info we have on shipping from the USA into South America, and it is incomplete, is from Houston to Quito in July of 2000, using a German company called Hellman Worldwide Logistics.

Ecuador is one of the most challenging countries to ship or fly a bike into vis paperwork, and a carnet de passage is definitely required if not entering through a land border. See numerous posts from travellers who have shipped or flown into Ecuador from Panama.

Depending on your route, you might want to consider coming into Colombia instead, or further south into Peru.
