Panama to Colombia motorcycle shipping : Sailboat to avoid !
Hi everybody ! I've just arrived to Cartagena in Colombia after a 5 days trip by sailboat.
The trip costs $800 (after deal), including San Blas islands stops, the community Kuna, foods, cleaning... We were supposed not having anything to do for 5 days.
I boarded on the sailboat Kyta of the captain Paco in Portobelo in Panama. Paco is spanish and speaks also english and french.
The boat was very dirty with bugs everywhere. The fridge didn't work so Paco uses 2 iceboxes which were on the sofa inside, we had no place inside and were always outside under a burning sun. Also no light. We didn't eat at every meal and there was one restroom for all... in my room, closed by a curtain. I heard all the noises and that smelt bad. During the night, we got too warm in our rooms that had no fan, we often slept on the deck of the boat.
Paco's girlfriend didn't cook every meal preferring smoking. We sometimes cooked instead of her and always washed the dishes.
Besides the $800, I paid $30 for getting the motorcycle on the boat, $20 for visiting islands, $40 for taking off the motorcycle of the boat and $100 for the papers.
After that, I asked for a refund but there was no way.
