Seeking assistance from a Chilean
Hello, any bi-lingual Chileans here that could assist me when I arrive in Chile on the 10th of December? I still can't decide between freighting a bike and purchasing one in Chile, if I could borrow a Chilean for a few hours to help get my bike out of customs then I think I will ship my minibike.
This brings me to my next reason for requiring assistance, I am worried they will refuse to register my minibike on the road..? Anyone know about this? It is 100% road legal here but quite small.
It's the same as this:

If it is registered in your own country you do not ned to register it here.
Your best bet is to make sure you have current title/ownership papers and valid registration for the bike in your current country. Then it just comes in as a temp visitor import.
I would suggest that it is near impossible to register a foreign bike in Chile.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
