Shipping 14 motorcycles Anchorague/Magadán
Hi Folks:
We are a MC from Argentina and we have 14 motorcycles, 14, in Anchorague (Alaska) with Argentinian license plates. Next summer we want send them from Anchorague to Magadán (Russia). We want to send a 4x4 for support us as well. Our plan is to ride the Road of Bones and then (God willing) to Ulaan Bator (Mongolia). Last summer we rode USA ´til Alaska.
If you want you can see the motorcycles in :

when we did bordercrossing Yukón/Alaska.
We were checking this shipping-info here in HU, and we found only 1 mototraveller whom did this shipping... 10 years ago!!!
Any body knows any info PLEASEEEEEEE!!!:confused1:
Thank you very much.
Ignacio.

shipping
Hola,
wau, shipping 14 bikes to Magadan, this will not be easy but I think you can do it.
I did not ship this route, but I went in 2003 to Magadan overland.
As far as I know, there are no regular flights anymore between Alaska and Magadan, so you will have to charter an airplane that is big enough. I dont think I would ship a container to Magadan, I assume it will be a nightmare to get it thru customs (if it ever gets there), but maybe it is easy I dont know.
Maybe it is better to buy a 4x4 in Magadan and sell it in e.g. Ulan Ude before you enter Mongolia or after you have been to Mongolia.
Sorry this are just ideas, hope fully somebody that has shipped this route will answer as well.
Saludos de Bolivia
Mika

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
