Shipping bike from Mexico to UK/advice needed
I am in Mexico City with bike permit for 3 months having bought 1984 Honda GL1200 in Vancouver City August 2006 and toured North America. I need to ship bike back to UK before February 2007 as it is illegal to sell it here and I do not have time or money to return to USA. Anybody know a good agent ...

Rohde & Liesenfeld Mexican Shipping Agents – feedback
Would you believe it the web site contact details and phone book address are out of date, so will post another update when I have made contact with the Rohde & Liesenfeld offices in Mexico DF. If anybody else has used this firm recently then feedback would be appreciated.

Veracruz to Liverpool by sea but what cost at Liverpool..
Thanks Skip for the R & L contact. After much effort finally got my enquiry answered by the Mexico City office of Rhode & Liesenfeld, whose telephone number if anybody else needs it is + 52 55 11070030. They ae the Mexican agent for Geodis UK and run a weekly service from Veracruz via Hamburg & London, to Liverpool transit time 37 days. Their rate is based on the weight of the bike. My GL1200 works out at 130 USD W/ton m3, Doc Fee 25 USD, Manouvres at Port 290USD, Customs 250USD, Handling 65USD, at total of 760USD, but excluding Duties & Taxes, Destination Port Charges, insurance etc.
If anyone can advise on what it will cost me at Liverpoool to import this Canadian Registered 1984 motorcycle or has similar import experience I would be like to hear from them. Thanks & I will continue to post updates.

Hi Rowley
When you get back to the UK it would be great if you can put the new contact details for R&L and any info on shipping your bike back from Mexico to the UK on the HU shipping pages. Skip

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
