Yellow Pages and International Freight Forwarders will get you up to date prices.
You'll need to have the cubic measurement of a crate the bike will fit in, plus weight.

I know there is a shipping company in Rotterdam, Netherlands, specialized in shipping bikes around the world. Not the cheapest...
If you need some help for shipping to the Netherlands; I live there! (until the 1st of March) Would/would be interesting to help you out; good training for my own trip and handy for you!

Thanks Dstehouwer, i have a daughter and her husband that live in Tynarlo near Assen that should be able to handle that end. Up until two years ago i was shipping containers of classic bikes from the USA to Australia so have a freight forward agent in Brisbane, i was hoping to get a few different prices from people that had sent there bike in the past couple of years and good or bad experences they may have had. Cheers.

A good mate shipped his bike from Sydney to UK and back last year for $3,000 with Get Routed.
Another good mate shipped a hot air balloon from Sydney to Vienna for $600 return a few months ago with Expediters International.
The balloon is about the same container space as a bike so go figure.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
