Shipping from Argentina to USA

Hello there,

We are two canadians presently doing a trip to South America on two bikes. At the end of the trip, in month of May, we look to ship the bikes either by plane or cargo from :
Chile to San Diego or
Buenos Aires to Florida

Please if you know any company who do by cargo or by plane, let us know. And we will appreciate any tips or recommandations.

Chantal

Ps : you can have a look to our blog at www.chantaletjean.blogspot.ca

Bonjour Chantal,

One option to explore would be to use the shipping assistance services provided by Dakar Motos in Buenos Aires. They've helped many a biker in the past.

That will give you a lay of the land and you can decide whether you want to do it yourself or get some assistance. Also, a good place to check is the shipping pages here on this site where people have noted their experiences shipping to and from various locales. Not sure whether there are any details covering your exact routing and if so, whether current, but worth a look.

Hey Chantel: funny running into you here, I'm looking at BA to Florida as well, I figure I'll talk to Dakar motors as I'm going to store my bike there for a month.

Cheers Philip

we used the services of Dakar Motos about one year ago, and were absolutely not satisfied with them. No service, and very unfriendly.

I know some people have positive experiences with them, but everyone we spoke to was not 100% satisfied either.

For a full review of our shipment, check out the shipment database Argentina to South Africa.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
