Shipping from Melbourne to Italy
Hello everyone,
I’ll finish my worldtrip from Italy to Melbourne next week and will finally arrive at destination the 12th of March. My flight back home is the 27th of March. (Instagram: antonituco)
I have some difficulties organizing my shipping back home. It’s harder then I thought. Shipping from Singapore to Darwin was very easy.
I cannot find an agency or company that ships to the south of Italy.
Can someone help me? Or has informations? I tried various companies listed in hear but no luck.
Grazie mille ☺️
Antoni

May I ask why not ship to Hamburg or to Rotterdam or similar big port city?
Cheers

They want to ship to a major port/air hub. The reason for this is the costs of going to a minor port are high, and the difficulty of organizing it adds yet more cost to it. All those costs mean you will probably change your mind and go for the major port .. and they loose the time put into working out the cost for the minor port.
So just ask 'what ports can you ship to in Italy (or southern Europe)', then select the one you want of those.

10 years ago i did the reverse - shipped from La Spezia to Melbourne after riding Korea to Sicily.
It was a very expensive exercise, and given the choice of doing it again, I would probably sell my bike for scrap rather than paying shipping fees.
Sadly, I can't recall the shipping agent details, but it is definitely possible.
I suggest heading down to West Melbourne, north west of the intersection of Spencer St and Dudley St - there are a lot of shipping/forwarding companies there to choose from.
