Hello Woody,
Got your private message, thank you.Tried to reply but did not want to go through??
Can you , please, recommend the shipping Cy you did use?
Did you RORO or crated the bike?
Did the ship go direct to Melbourne in your case?
Does this Cy ship to Sydney?
What sort of further costings did you have to pay with regards of the Aussie custom apart from washing the bike??
looking forward to your reply.

Cheers.
Michael.

We are in Cartagena and have an agent who is trying to build a business shipping vehicles. If you want the details let me know. We loaded our car yesterday. They only speak Spanish but we manage and we only speak English. No idea how much it would cost but they charge $200usd to sort it all out.

If you're in bogota try Girag. They are located in the airport, cargo terminal -opposite domestic terminal. Look for KLM/AirFrance. Some speaks basic English. They are cheap and know everything about bike shipping. Do 5-6 every week.

Hi Neill (hope the spelling is right),
Thank you for replying to my question.
I would love some details about your local agent ( name , email etc).
I would imagine that if he can ship a car , a motorbike would not be a problem.
I am in Peru now moving North and plan to be in Cartagena around mid August.
Also, did you require an agent in Australia to free your vehicle out of the Custom or was it arranged from Columbia?
Any infos on that would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks and hope all went all right on your side.
Cheers.
MICHAEL.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
