Shipping questions/ recomendations Lime to the US
I am thinking about shipping my KLR from Lima back to the US and wanted to get a bit of advice.
First, does anyone know of any good shipping companies out of Lima? Any idea of the cost to get the bike shipped, including taxes, tarriffs and other fees? I live in Denver, but is it better to have it shipped to a port city and ride it home from there?
Also, I bought the bike from another traveler in Colombia so I only have the bill of sale. Is that going to be an issue going through customs? What other paper work is needed on the bike?
Thanks for the help.

Jay,
I don't think you are going to have problem. Use the bill of sale . Call any agent and ask them. I have one that could help you, it did some quotes for me down there.
I will look for his contact and I get back to you tomorrow.

Hi Gaston,
I am myself looking for a solution to send my KTM from Mexico city to Lima,
I would be very interested in good references of a custom agent in Lima.
A friend is interested in starting the journey with me, but just for the 15 first days, do you know any option to rent a bike (something like a KLR) at a descente price in lima?
