Suzuki Bandit 1200

Hi All -

First time poster - hope you're all well!

I'm taking a cargo ship first week of November from UK to Buenos Aires and have the option of bringing my motorbike with me at a cost £300

Planning to be in BA for a good few months and then moving on and my question is, once out of BA and travelling further afield, what the situation is regarding roads - are the main highways through the various countries good tarmac or is it a mix of tarmac/dirt tracks etc./

One concern is having to leave the Bike in BA and then coming back at somepoint to ship back to UK...

Be very grateful for your thoughts and wherever you are - keep it upright!

No Idea though I'm sailing from Uk to Argentina and guess it must be because I'm booked on the ship. It's certainly made me think about bringing it!

Hi Regards shipping try Geodes i used them, it cost me 200 pounds to ship to Mexico, if you want to ship look to see where the container ships run a regular service, these are the cheepest routes as they will all ways want to make sure the containers are full so a part load is quite cheep, Just flick through the yellow pages and phone or e.mail around. Hope this helps Skip

@Crack

Tell me more... how much is you boat trip to Argentina? How long? I might be interested in something like that? Was planning a trip all over N. America but I'm now thinking of doing less in N.America and more in C. & S. America. I figure more bang for my buck.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
