Had a Pro-Com CDI for Triumph 900 and it worked great. Very reliable compared with OEM. Zero issues starting etc.. I imagine the 1200 CDI is the same. Don't you just pre-select a map, unplug the OEM CDI and then install Pro-Com CDI? The bike should just start right up no? At the time, there was no need to use the supplied Pro-com software to tweek since the factory settings/options were sufficient to fit my motorcycles mods (exhaust, airbox, air filter etc..).
