Second Hand Triumph parts?
Have just bought a 04 TBird Sport in the UK. Great overlanding bike, I know
Am looking for a few bits and pieces for it. Triumph new is a bit expensive. I have found Jack Lilley and www.triumphrat.net already.
Can anyone recommend/suggest any UK breakers, second hand spares/parts dealers (like Motorworks/Motorbins for BMWs) for Hinkley Triumphs in the UK?
Thanks for any leads.

I would be wary of dealing with Triumphant, as in my experience their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I know of a few people (myself included) who have purchase parts from them, only to be sold stuff that is fit only for autojumble or ebay. I knew one guy who needed an replacement alternator cover and centre stand for his thunderbird, and was sent an alternator cover for a Daytona\speed triple, and the stand was incomplete and therefore unuseable. I personally purchased a set of down pipes for my speed triple 900, and the filthy corroded parts that i was sold for a not very cheap price where fit only for the crusher. When i telephoned the guy who runs the place to discuss my issues with the junk he had sold me, i was greeted by an arrogant pig headed welsh man who after ranting down the phone at me for 5 minutes, including boring me with tales of how hard it is for him to run a busy business, told me to send the parts back to him at my expense and he may or may not refund my money, less his costs! Needless to say it was the 1st and last time i dealt with them.
On the other hand i have bought parts from http://www.lynxmotorcycles.com/index.htm who are the complete opposite of the above experience. Also as previously mentioned, sprint manufacturing are useful, especially for touring screens and accessories that you would other wise not be able to get hold of.
All the best, Dave.

Hi, I'd also recommend Sprint manufacturing in Wiltshire, dealt with them a few times and found them to be friendly and helpfull even if they did send me the wrong relays last time for my Tig, everyone makes mistakes and they sorted that out really quickly so I'll be using them again. Chris

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
