Triumph Bonneville 790 - New Shoes!
My Triumph Bonneville (2004) 790cc needs to be re-shod after only 4,900 miles on their original Bridgestone Battleaxe's.
Tyre Sizes: Front R19 100/90, Rear R17 130/80.
Don't laugh, I am considering putting adventure tyres on it!
It's a toss up between Continental Conti-Escapes and Metzeler Tourance's -
These Tourances on Ebay are a great price (I think) - £140.95 for BOTH front and rear.

The Conti-Escapes look better and are a bit cheaper and have the edge at present.
Before you laugh the Triumph Scrambler has these kind of tyres fitted as standard (OEM) so they must work on the Bonneville platform too.
The only other tyre I might consider is German Heidenau. I have heard these things are brilliant? These German tyres are not easy to source - On Ebay there is only one seller who sells them using pictures which don't match (tread patterns). It puts me right off because if he can't be bothered to ensure his treads match, what's he likely to be like if things go wrong?
So, what would YOU recommend?
I value your advice as to be perfectly frank I'm clueless when it comes to Bonneville's (It's a recent addition).
The triumph sub forum does seem a little quiet compared to my beloved Yamaha XT sub-forum..
Links where I can buy direct are very helpful.
