HU Blog page
Hi Grant/Susan, we are about to commence the next leg of our RTW, we are currently in Valparaiso Chile waiting for our bike to arrive on a ship. We hope to travel for at least 12 months and maybe up to 2 years if our money lasts.
Can we just continue to use our previous HU blog page even though its been inactive since 2007? Out username and password seem to still work, but thought I should check with you first. the header may need to be changed now since we are now travelling the americas.
Anything else I should know since last using the HU blog software?
Regards
John & Alanna Skillington

Go ahead, that's fine, in fact preferred!
You're all good to go - let me know what you'd like to change the header to and I'll get it done asap...ish...
Have a great trip!

Hi Grant,
We have been travelling in S.America now for a couple of months and have been posting new stories on our HU webpage as discussed above. Just wondering if you could help with a couple of things:
1 - the sub heading currently reads "Europe to Australia 2006 - 2007", can you change it to something like:
"Round the World - in Stages"
2 - can you also change the header text to:
"Hi and welcome to our Blog. We are an Australian couple travelling two-up round the world (in stages), currently still riding our well used Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom. Our first stage was from UK to Australia for 16 months in 2006-07 when we following parts of the classic overland Silk Road route. We are currently travelling the Americas for 1 or 2 years, starting in Chile. This is our story so far...."
3 - Consider moving our story link to the RTW section (on the travelers stories page)
Thanks and hope all is going well with your recovery.
Regards
John & Alanna

Done!
And I'm doing well thanks - not as fast as I'd like, but the doc's favourite phrase to me is "be patient, you're doing well" so I guess I can't complain!

Hi Grant, Thanks for the very fast response and changes, much appreciated. Glad to hear you are doing well, even if you are not very patient, there are worse things to be....

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
