HU Logo / Patch contest
The HU logo has been around for a long time - 11 years to be exact - and started out super naff, (I was going to show it but on second thought, maybe not...) to the current iteration, to a new one that looks great:
done by Erdem Yucel, who did the fantastic graphics for the new HU DVD series.
The current one:
has been described as "naff" for an HU Patch for your jacket, so here's your chance to come up with a new logo (which will be in addition to the new one above, which will go into use on the site as I have time) for use wherever is appropriate, stickers, patches, whatever, as possible.
Patch contest!
Winners get a free HU Tshirt (cotton from CafePress) and an HU Mug or similar, with their logo on it!
Post your submission here, and the top bunch will go into a Poll for voting.
Time is limited - you have three weeks to make your submission! Then it goes to a vote for three weeks.
Good luck and thanks for your ideas and support!

Does this mean the HU stickers you sold me on Sunday became obsolete by Tuesday?
Or should I keep them in mint condition to become collectors items?

One minor suggestion - If you decide to update the logo, drop the "www".
It's a bit redundant nowadays

No improvements came up, and everyone said to leave it alone, it's too well-known - so we decided to leave it as is!
Contest was 200 9!
Stickers can be ordered from the souk ( /store )
and patches will be in stock soon.

you could be right - but it balances the .com I think - but I'll put it to Erdem and see what he thinks - he's a graphics wizard and does all our graphics now.

Patches ARE now available, and they're 3" / 75mm - perfect for the sleeve or wherever on your jacket!
Just go to the HU Souk / store

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
