I get pop ups when navigating the HUBB
Is it just my device or do others get pop up adverts on the HUBB? They are for fairly innocuous sounding sites but not related to motorcycle travel so I wonder if there is some sort of problem, I do not get them elsewhere.

I do not get any popups on The HUBB. I use no blocker or other special measures to prevent them, and never have. I do get popups on some other sites.
There's one data point. Hope it's helpful.

If you’re NOT using tapatalk there should absolutely not be pop ups. Tapatalk May or may not cause pop ups but they shouldn’t.
If it does please let me know. Also try a different browser. It’s possible for it to be from the browser or an add on.

I'm presuming you are logged in when you experience the pop-ups?

Yes, one usually comes up when I use the new posts facility but not every time and only on the HUBB.

Mark, it can ONLY be Tapatalk.
I assume this is on your phone?
To be clear, we never have and never will use pop up or popunder etc ads on HU.
Having said that the Tapatalk utility is obscenely expensive unless we use their ad supported version. So if you use Tapatalk you’ll get ads

I am not using Tapatalk, like others I find the adverts too annoying, this has been happening for about a week but not for my last 2 or 3 visits so hopefully whatever little bug it was has gone away, I will keep you informed if it reoccurs.
Thanks to everyone for your replies.

So far as I can tell, no bugs / issues on the site. Anyone else reporting anything similar please let me know with as much detail as possible so I know where to start looking, such as what page you clicked that started the popup, what link on it you clicked etc. Your browser / operating system is also very helpful.
Thanks!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
