Should we do our Amazon shopping from here?
Hi guys. I seem to remember that if we jump to Amazon from the HUBB and then make a purchase you get some commission. Is this correct? Is it a good source of income for you? If so, how about big banners everywhere reminding us that we can help support the HUBB when doing our Christmas shopping?

Hi Nick,
Yes that's right! Sort of - You need to go from one of the Amazon Search links for your country -they're all over the site and especially on the Books page.
Good - no, not near as good as it could be, but it IS a whole lot better than nothing, and has loads of room for growth. If everyone that visits the site bought all their Amazon purchases through us we'd be in great shape!
The banners idea is a good one, I'll get on it asap. And put a reminder in the next ezine.
Thanks for thinking of us Nick, much appreciated!
Grant and Susan

NOTE: in order for us to get a commission on book or other purchases, you need to start your search from a Books page on the site (see second item under Trip Planning in the menu on the left, or click here). From the various Books pages, either click on a particular book through to Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, etc. or do a Search from the boxes at the bottom of the page. That transfers our code to Amazon when you move to their site, and we get a small commission on each purchase.
Thanks for your support!
Susan

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
