All posts are dated, so the user can work it out for themselves how valuable - or not - it is. As noted, SOMETHING is often better than nothing. Also, newbies LEARN from all those posts - procedures, concepts, etc are all new to them, so all info is good.
It IS possible to "prune" old posts - but they're gone forever then, so since they take almost no space on the server, I'm happy to leave them. Also that eliminates one of the banes of my existence - threads that are linked to an older thread that is later deleted for one reason or another, leaving me with constant notices that a file is not found.
