Writing the word "beer" without the smiley.
I was writing away & wrote the word "beeer" and the smiley was automatically inserted, changed my wording to "pint" to finish my post.
I wrote beeer with an extra E so you understand.
Is there a way to disable this?
I think THIS THREAD sums up the problem, trying to write the word beeer ends up with a smiley you don't want.
Mezo.

beer beer beer
Thank you RTW, to be honest ive never taken notice of the bottom bit.:blushing:
EDIT: Ahh now there is the next problem, it disables all smiley's (even ones i want to insert) this is an auto-correct function that only Grant has options over.
Should be a "disable smiley`s whilst typing" or rename smiley's beer_1 & beer_2

Sorry, that's a software limitation, it has to stay as is :(
If I rename beer to beer1 ALL the previous "beer" in the past will lose their smiley. :( No good options here I'm afraid.
And yes we will be replacing the HUBB software, but not for at least a year and a half maybe two years.

I didn't, unless you consider :) to be a smiley.
So no confusion, except for my own where you think I did that...:eek3:

you now need to type : then troll then : (common method on many words used for shortcuts for smilies.)

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
