Hello to you all.

My names Andy Smith, 35 years old and from Aldershot in the UK. I have left this a bit late to get registered on the forums......but better late than never.

Been Riding bikes since i was a toddler doing trials and enduro,then going through the sportsbike/streetfighter stage, before i caught the adventure and touring bug a few years ago.

Just bought myself a prsitine old BMW 100gs PD, mainly because i love the old bikes and i am rubbish at working on the new ones.Another reason for the old bike is a big trip coming up soon....and i doubt a new bike could get left in a shed for 6 months or more and ever start again.

Plans for the next years are as follows.....I am setting off on a trip somewhere as of Mid November until at least April next year.Those dates are concrete....i have been working in the middle east, come back early due to a disagreement at work.....so i am only allowed in the UK for 90 days before i get hammered by the tax man. Looking at flying to Australia with nothing more than my bike kit and spare clothes....then buying a bike when i land and going where the mood takes me.

Could well be going to New Zealand then onto Japan then.....?
