Barrie On Canada

Good day to all. My wife and I have a K1200GT that we use to keep our relationship vibrant. She likes telling me where to go! I drive, she photo shoots. We are planning our annual anniversary trip into the USA Blue Ridge Parkway down to NC and are thinking of spending more time in Virginia this year and are looking for tips and places to ride.

We can't travel the world but go where we can when we can. We do enjoy reading about the adventures of others. So we welcome links to world travelers and your posts.

If you are passing through our area and needing a place to crash or rest email and we will try to accomodate you.

Hi and welcome. Barrie, Ontario, eh? Spent christmas and new years there back in -85/-86. Went up to Georgian Bay for a couple of days. Love this part of Canada.

All the best.

Greetings from Ottawa Canada

We have been riding 2 up for about 8 years, most of it on a Kawi Mean Streak. Have been to Alaska and the Arctic Circle, down to Tennessee and to the East Coast twice including a romp through Newfoundland and Labrador. Rented a Harley last summer in Norway to tour the Western Fjords...highly recommended if your in that part of the world. Purchased a replacement bike yesterday, a R1200RT, we'll see where it takes us once the snow is gone!
We enjoy the adventure stories and relish the wealth of information on this site.

Regards,
Rick and Den

A friend recently purchased a 2006 RT and loves it. Found the final drive failed with just 20,000km on the clock so double check yours. Out of warranty so out of pocket.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
