Hey HUBBers
Been green laning the Uk for a few yrs in a LR90, got an LC 80 for a bit more space and comfort last yr, now looking to go further afield. Did the Alps in July, fantastic trip, enjoyed it so much we're already planning next yrs adventure to the Pyrenees. After that, Morocco, then I'd like to sell the house and hit S.America/RTW if I could only convince the wife
Here's the truck, named by my mates as "The Ark Royal" for it's marvelous turning ability on the narrow UK lanes, known to me as the money bin
I stuck a HD cam on the bonnet when I did UK C2C on lanes last yr and then realised no-one really wants to watch hours n hours of footage of never ending green lanes, got a bit better at editing stuff down and adding some music, then realised there's more to film making than the same old shot off the front of the bonnet!
Now I've got some decent editing software I decided to learn a bit more about film making, realised I need another camera for B roll stuff, and probably a gimbal to keep it looking good, a drone would be amazing too but well out of my budget atm!
I was searching for overland films to get some inspiration on what makes a good overland film, found the 9 Minute Moto Film Festival page, gutted I missed it, can't find any of the films tho!
How the hell do you fit 10 days of footage into 9 mins? I thought 1/2 an hour was good
Anyway, I'm waffling on, yeah I want to make a good overland film one day
Here's our Alps trip if you like dirt roads and scenery (and not much else
