Route to travel
If you look at other threads in here Nicola, you can go via the Italian route mentioned here (by various ferries obviously) or "around the Balkans" which seems to be popular now that they have stopped fighting each other - Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece or something like that order!!
Either route should be really good for a 3 week trip.
Enjoy it, whichever way you choose,
Dave

Welcome to HU Nicola!
I did the 'Balkans' route last year, it was great! You have a few options further south depending on what bike you are riding, what terrain you want to encounter etc.
I would fully recommend the crossing from Albania to Greece via lake Orchis - well nice. Be warned, Tirana has been described as Hell on Earth by some bikers, and I can see why..... I ended up at lake orchis by being desperate to get out of Tirana and without GPS or roadsigns just went south by using the Sun till I was in the countryside. Best lost ever.
I take it you have joined too late to make it to the HU meet this year?
